What is a VA Loan?
The primary purpose of the VA home loan program is to help veterans finance the purchase and refinance of homes with favorable loan terms and at a rate of interest which is usually lower than the rate charged on other types of mortgage loans. For VA housing loan purposes, the term “veteran” includes certain members of the selected military Reserve/National Guard, active duty service personnel and certain categories of spouses.
Do I qualify for a VA Loan?
If you are a veteran, active duty personnel, Reservist/National Guard member or the unmarried surviving spouse of a veteran who died in service or as a result of service, you may be eligible to receive a VA-backed mortgage loan.
